Kate lives in Kilfinan, overlooking Loch Fyne on Argyll's Secret Coast, where sea, forest and mountain meet.
The landscape around me is at the heart of everything I create. Long walks along the shoreline reveal sea-worn fragments, weathered textures and natural forms that inspire each collection. Beyond the coast, the temperate rainforest of the Cowal Peninsula offers endless inspiration through its ancient woodlands, moss-covered rocks and diverse wildlife.
Working with bronze metal clay, sterling silver, copper and resin, I transform these influences into handcrafted jewellery that reflects the beauty, resilience and quiet wonder of Scotland's west coast.
Each piece is a small connection to this place—a way of carrying a little of the wild landscape with you wherever you go.

Of Coast & Earth
Guided by Nature
Every piece of Tamed Earth jewellery is completely unique. Because I rely on serendipitous beach finds and instinctual hand-shaping, no two creations will ever be exactly alike.
Metal Clay Creations
Hand-formed from metal clay and kiln-fired into solid metal. Shaped by instinct, some pieces bear the quiet imprint of leaves, moss, and fern, while others are formed through texture and chance.
Sea-Worn Fragments
Fragments of sea glass and pottery, shaped by time and tide. Carefully paired with bronze, silver, copper, or plated elements, each piece preserves a small, weathered story from the shore.
Tumbled Pebbles
Beach-worn pebbles are tumbled smooth and set into simple, tactile forms. These grounding pieces carry the quiet weight, rich history, and organic texture of the Scottish shoreline.
Botanical Resin
Dried flowers and plants are preserved in crystal-clear resin, beautifully capturing fleeting moments of growth and season. Delicate, natural forms held still in time.
Argentium Silver
A bright, hypoallergenic and tarnish-resistant metal, these pieces are gently fused and shaped — allowing for organic forms that flow naturally from hand and instinct, sometimes paired with sea-worn fragments.
Ethereal Imprints
Captured through heat and time, these unique pieces feature dried fauna fused between layers of ocean-worn sea glass. The organic material is completely fired away in the kiln, leaving behind only a beautiful, ethereal memory of its original form.
